Clickbank Pirates – Outsourcing (most of your) Clickbank campaign:

Clickbank PiratesSo two other Internet Marketers (Allen, Scott) and I decided to run a 30-day collaborative project.
Something fun to do, that would allow us to leverage each other’s skills and resources.
And also let us triple our speed of execution and learning.

After a long brainstorming session over pizza , in which we considered:

  •  Creating our own product (related to outsourcing), vs
  • Affiliate marketing, vs
  • Cost-Per-Action (CPA) campaigns…

We settled on CBpirates:

A product/service that allows you to outsource a lot of the components of a successful Clickbank campaign.

  • Squeeze Page
  • A product intro video on the squeeze page
  • A free report, to warm up the lead before trying to make the sale (and capture their email address)
  • An email autoresponder series, gradually pitching the product

We as Internet marketers now get to focus on RUNNING this campaign, instead of investing our time in BUILDING an offering, before we can RUN the campaign.

This is a critical lesson that Internet Marketer Alex Jeffreys emphasizes:
Don’t invest so much time in BUILDING an online business.
Instead, put your time toward RUNNING an online business.

The way CB Pirate works is that you are randomly assigned 5 of their pre-created product review pages/reports.
It’s now up to you, to promote that product squeeze page.

Here’s the list of products we got, and their Clickbank stats:

7: CB Code: Clickbank 101 – Your Clickbank Starter Kit (by CBpirates)

I noticed that a number of the products are created BY the makers of Clickbank Pirates.  Meaning that to a certain extent, we’re paying to promote their products.   Clever setup on their part, I suppose.  Although they could have disclosed how many of the products would be their own.

Traffic Generation:
We’ve decided to each invest $100 each, and to leverage the following means of generating traffic:
 Paid Traffic:
 1 – Facebook Ads
 2 – Google Ads
 3 – PPV (Pay-Per-View Advertising)

 Free Traffic:
 1 – Video syndication
 2 – Blogging
 3 – Article Marketing?
4 – Integration Marketing (posting into the sign-up process for existing sites)
 5 – Twitter
 6 – Forum postings

What I’m learning about the product/process:

1 – Cindy Battye and Sorensen have created several other products, including:
  - Affiliate Silver Bullet (Battye)
 - Membership Gold Rush (Battye)
 - Instant Banner Creator (Sorensen)
 - Daily Niche Idea (Battye)

2 – They do a LOT of integration marketing.
 - A bit haphazard for my taste (10+ bonuses offered).  But does it work?

3 - Seems a great way to build your list:
 - Create a product,
 - Have an affiliate program
 - Have others promote your products, and build your list!

Are you going to do any SEO on this experiment?

Are you going to post links to your actual sales pages? I’d like to see how they look.
